How to survive AP Calculus; a homework assignment that I’m not too qualified for. :)
How to Suceed in AP Calculus
Greetings fellow student of knowledge!,
I’m too excited for you right now. You are about to embark on a journey of Calculus. Though, mind you, it may get a bit rough, if you follow the advice I give you, your ride will flow a bit smoother. Let’s do this.
Do your homework. Okay, this is definitely a no-brainer. Homework is key to mastering your mathematical skill! How horrid would it be to spend an entire 57 minutes of your time and not put it to good use! Spend as little to 30 to 90 minutes on homework and studying for this class. Concerning studying, you must be diligent. Reviewing topics a little bit at a time as opposed to cramming like a maniac the night before a test is incredibly wise, believe me – been there and stressed over that.
Listen actively during lectures. This means trying your best to understand the words coming out of Overton’s mouth. This means asking questions if you don’t understand something. This means taking adequate notes that you can actually read later. This means getting a decent amount of sleep every night. Get it done, get it done. It’s these little moments of true efficiency that will help you get the best out of this course.
Become a mentor to your fellow students. Though I am far from a math wiz, I learned that by teaching my fellow students a few topics that I actually enjoyed, I became even more decent in such topic. By understanding this, you can try catching up on topics that you’re shaky on, and make it your absolute mission to teach it to someone else who may be struggling. You gain knowledge and bragging points, and whoever you teach will gain a bit of extra intellect as well. It’s really a win-win situation.
Expect homework every night. Expect a bit of confusion. Expect a lot of overhead jokes. This course will be fun as long as you make the most of it. I wish you the absolute best of luck!

p.s. If note-taking seems a bit dull for you, write your notes out in crazy colored pen ink! This definitely kept me entertained during lectures.
I wish I never stopped trying.
